Metric5 is seeking a Proposal Solution Architect to join our growth team. We are looking for a creative and driven technical leader who has excellent communications skills, a strong customer service orientation and is experienced in leading winning solutions for growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and written support for the pursuit of new work reflecting Metric5’s capabilities, along with product development, solution specification/design, target architecture development, and creative solutioning for opportunities and customers.
About the Role of the Proposal Solution Architect

The Solution Architect requires an understanding of our core customers, the services and capabilities that we bring to the market, and the communication skills to present, describe, and develop products and solutions that will appeal to our current customers and new customers. The proper candidate will have broad technical knowledge, with specific depth in Data, DevOps, Design, and Security in Cloud environments combined with the drive to pursue and win business through written and presentation materials, responses to RFIs, RFPs, and other customer engagements.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide thought leadership and technical support to assist business development and delivery programs in retaining and growing both new and current work.
- Identify, assess, and design technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of growth opportunities.
- Lead solution design and the development of key documents for proposals and customers including, but not limited to past performance summaries, technical approach write ups, architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, etc.
- Synthesize and collect experience from the delivery teams into compelling written service offerings that we can market to new clients.
- Work to support development and mature our solution verticals, our solution architecture capability, and our overall value proposition.
- Collaborate with the Growth Team to understand customer strategic planning initiatives and intent.
- Respond in writing to technical questions and research requests from the Growth team and programs.
- Perform business case analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Build & maintain relationships with key vendor partners to incorporate technology & capabilities.
- Actively identify, monitor, and incorporate industry & vendor solutions
- Monitor the use of the technology supporting federal client systems to ensure they are making the best use of the existing or target technical architecture.
- Review proposed designs and technical solutions for suitability.
- Develop technical recommendations/collateral to engage current/ prospective customers
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a Solution Development or Delivery role focused on technology solutions.
- 3+ years of demonstrable capability to write effective responses to Government RFI’s, RFPs, and other requests.
- 5+ years working in the Federal Government contracting environment.
- Experience, proficiency, and self-assessed expertise in at least two of the following disciplines:
- Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for application development
- Data analytics, data management, data architecture
- Cloud enablement of IT capabilities (application, data, infrastructure)
- Data-centric solutions (Zero Trust, ICAM)
- Enterprise Architecture /system engineering
- Product management, design, and delivery
- Ability to communicate effectively, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners.
- Ability to document existing and new processes.
- Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.
- Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team.
- Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization.
- Knowledge of Cloud-enabled/cloud-native solutions, AI/ML, Advanced Analytics, Robotic Process Automation, UI/UX strategy, and ability to demonstrate and apply operational standards, and best practices and align with organizational strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of business architecture to evaluate options and/or implement solutions to support decisions in the process.
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, communication, or analytics
Location: Remote within the US
Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a government issued suitability clearance
Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000
