Description:
Metric5 is seeking a well-rounded Contracts Specialist to join our growing firm and help mature our contracts management function. In this role, you will:
- Provide full spectrum contracts administration support to the firm’s government contracts portfolio, which spans federal agencies
- Coordinate and collaborate with other functions within the organization, establish and maintain solid working relationships with peers and clients, and provide contractual and business advisement and guidance to the firm’s leadership
- Support the firm’s growth through participation in capture and proposal efforts
- Serve as an authorized representative of the firm in matters of client and vendor negotiations, as well as execution of contractual instruments
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in government contracting
- Knowledge of and experience with federal acquisition and agency supplemental regulations
- Knowledge of and experience with an array of contract types (e.g. cost type, fixed price, and variations thereof, time and materials and labor hour, IDIQ)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and reasoning skills, and prowess drafting and negotiating contractual agreements of varying types
- Ability and willingness to effectively collaborate as a member of cross functional teams
- Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks associated with government contracts
- Ability to operate with autonomy, work in a fast-paced environment, and successfully multi-task
- Willingness to accept additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed, to occasionally travel to firm meetings and functions in the Washington, D.C. metro area, and to embrace and demonstrate the firm’s core values
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in a small business environment, and knowledge of and familiarity with small business regulations
- Experience with the SBA Mentor-Protégé Program and mentor-protégé and small business joint ventures
- Experience managing GSA MAS contracts, including working through GSA eMod and FAS SRP portals
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited institution
Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience in government contracting
Clearance: U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
